Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Thefts:

A man reported at 4:17 p.m. Wednesday on Harbor Way that an unlocked Mongoose bike was stolen.

Hit-and-run incidents:

A man reported at 2:50 p.m. Wednesday on Old Dairy Road that a Honda Passport was scratched and dented while it was parked, causing $1,100 damage.

Animal encounters:

A sow and cub were reported in a yard on Evergreen Avenue at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday. Bears also were reported at 9:08 p.m. near Thunder Mountain Road, 10:45 p.m. near Jennifer Drive, and 4:40 a.m. today near Morraine Way.

Other:

A man, 23, was cited and released at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday near Clinton Drive for driving with a revoked license. The vehicle was impounded.
