Members of the Filipino Community Inc. gather June 19 at the bust of Dr. Jose Rizal in Manila Square on South Franklin Street to celebrate his birthday. June 19 marked the 147th birthday of Rizal - a prolific poet, essayist, novelist and national hero of the Philippines who led the charge in gaining Philippine independence from Spanish rule.
