Lee, Billings to marry

Brandilynn Sue Lee and Ethan Allen Billings, both of Juneau, will be married in a ceremony planned for 6 p.m., June 30, at Northern Light United Church. A reception will follow immediately at the Juneau yacht Club. Friends and relatives are invited to the reception.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Paul and Susan Lee of Shelly, Idaho. She is a graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School and is currently employed at the Alaska Redistricting Board.

The groom-elect is the son of Edward and Grace Billings of West Burke, Vt. He is a graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School and of Arizona State University. He is employed at the Alaska Department of Education and Alaska Airlines, and is the co-owner of Marlintini's Lounge.

 

Matron of honor will be Jackie Hall and the maid of honor Christena Gissberg. The bridesmaids will be Veronica Shaffer, Briana Storie, Yvonne Miller, Deby Hulegaard, Traci Walker and Bene Schleuniger. The flower girl will be Gabrielle Duvernay.

Best man will be Craig Kahklen. The groomsmen will be Jeff Duvernay, John Boucher, Lance Solberg, Mark Sanders, John Sullivan, Dale Schmitz and Dennis Kaill. The ring bearer will be J.J. Santos. The ushers will be John Lee, Jonathan Billings and Rich Hall.

The couple will honeymoon in San Diego and make their home in Juneau.

Manzer, Van Horn plan wedding

Linda R. Manzer and Tracy J. Van Horn, both of Juneau, will marry at noon, July 14, at sea aboard the motor yacht Boatacious. Friends and relatives are invited to the reception at 2 p.m. at Mike's Place in Douglas.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Joseph and Sylvia Moskovitz. She is a graduate of North Central High School in Indianapolis and is currently employed as an accounting clerk for Jeffus and Williams, Inc.

 

The groom-elect is the son of Harlan Van Horn Sr. and Goldie Thomas. He is a graduate of Centennial High School in Gresham, Ore., and is currently employed as an accounting clerk for the Alaska Department of Law.

The best man will be Harlan Van Horn Jr., the groom-elect's brother.

The couple plan to honeymoon in Hawaii and will make their home in Juneau.

Metcalf, Williams to marry

Gwen D. Metcalf of Juneau and Michael B. Williams of Douglas will be married in a ceremony at 6 p.m., July 2. A reception will follow at 7 p.m. at 640 Fifth St. in Douglas. Friends and relatives of the couple are invited to the reception.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Jim and Regina Pahal of Benton, La. She is currently employed as a personnel assistant for the Alaska Department of Corrections.

The groom-elect is the son of Wallace (Sandy) and Susanne Williams of Douglas. He is a graduate of the Public Safety Academy in Sitka and the University of Alaska Southeast in Juneau. He is employed as a state trooper for the Alaska Department of Public Safety.

The couple will make their home in Soldotna.

 

Miller, Giles to wed

Sarah Elaine Miller of Juneau and Eric George Giles of Champaign, Ill., will be married in a ceremony at 4:30 p.m., June 30, at False Outer Point. A reception will follow at 8 p.m. at the Alaskan Hotel.

The bride-elect is the daughter of David and Cora Miller. She is a graduate of East Carolina University, Greenville, N.C., and is employed as an archaeologist for the Kentucky Archaeological Survey.

The groom-elect is the son of Eugene and Inga Giles. He is a graduate of East Carolina University and is currently a doctoral student at the University of Kentucky.

Maid of honor will be Laurie Shaw and bridesmaids Denise Prudhomme, Bess Zelle and Charlotte Stamm (TAKU 105's Shelly Kincaid). The flower girl will be Mo Kaboli.

Best man will be Ed Giles. The groomsmen will be Andy Miller, Mike Miller, and Max, Sam and Jan O'Connor-Giles.

The couple will honeymoon on the Trans-Siberian Railway, from Beijing to Sweden. They will make their home in Lexington, Ky.

 

Riddle, Bennett plan wedding

Machelle Riddle and Walter Bennett, both of Juneau, will be married in a ceremony planned for 1 p.m., June 30, at Northern Light United Church. A reception will follow at 3 p.m. at the Travelodge. Friends and relatives of the couple are invited to the wedding and reception.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Dan and Sherry Wright of Anchorage, and Keran Foster and Lamar Riddle of Juneau. She is a graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School and is currently employed in customer service at Carrs/Safeway.

The groom-elect is the son of Ella Bennett and Walter Bennett Sr. He is a graduate of JDHS and is a deli assistant at Alaskan and Proud Market.

The couple will make their home in Juneau.

 

Zoller, Williams to marry

Crissy Diana Zoler and Shawn Thomas Williams, both of Juneau, will be married in a ceremony planned for 7 p.m., July 7, at Glacier Gardens. A reception will follow at 8 p.m. at Squires Rest/Pappy Poes.

Friends and relatives of the couple are invited to the wedding and reception.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Sandi Gordon and Bryan Hinton and stepdaughter of Mike Gordon. She is a 1996 graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School and is currently employed as a computer specialist for the National Marine Fisheries Service.

The groom-elect is the son of Tom and Dorothy Williams. He is a 1994 graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School and is currently employed as an apprentice plumber for Cameron's Plumbing and Heating.

The matron of honor is the bride's sister, Jackie Hasey, with bridesmaids Bridget Goertzen, Kelley DeMars and cousin Christina Maiquis.

The flower girls are Cassie DeMars, Katie Dimond and cousin Erica Maiquis.

Best man is the groom's brother, Jeff Williams, with groomsmen Ryan Haigh, Rob Gruening and Dave Gilday. Ushers are Dave DeMars and Sean Goertzen. The ring bearer will be Oscar Jones.

The couple plan to honeymoon in Tahiti and to make their home in Juneau.

 

Hickok, Weir plan July wedding

Amie L. Hickok of Juneau and Thomas S. Weir will be married in a ceremony at 6:30 p.m., July 6, at Glacier Gardens. A reception will follow at 7:30 at the Juneau Yacht Club.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Terry and Patricia Hickok. She is a graduate of San Diego State University and has a master of education degree from the University of Memphis. She is currently employed as a special education teacher for Pathways, Inc.

The groom-elect is the son of Larry and Marion Weir. He is a graduate of Penn State University and is employed as an applications engineer for Corning, Inc.

Maid of honor will be Lauree DiCarlo. Bridesmaids will be Karn Hickok and Wendy Hickok. The flower girl will be Darbee Hickok and Haleigh DiCarlo.

Best man will be Pat Weir, and the groomsmen Derrick Lancaster and John Holobinko. Ushers will be Robert, Nathan and Jacob Hickok. The ring bearer will be Hunter Hickok.

The couple will honeymoon by traveling first-class back to New York State and will make their home in Corning. N.Y.
