Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Domestic dispute:

• Police arrested a boy, 16, on a charge of domestic-violence assault at 9:39 a.m. Tuesday in the Mendenhall Valley. They lodged him at the Johnson Youth Center.


• An MP3 player was reported stolen at 9:12 a.m. Tuesday from inside an unlocked 2003 Mazda in the 600 block of Fifth Street in the Douglas area.

• Two VHF radios were reported stolen at 9: 41 a.m. Tuesday from a Toyota pickup parked in the 1800 block of Shell Simmons Drive near the airport. A window in the vehicle was reported broken.

Vehicle accidents:

• Minor damage was reported from an accident at 1:08 p.m. Monday at 10th Street and Egan Drive downtown. It involved a 1994 Dodge, driven by a man, 60, and a 1991 Subaru, driven by a man, 38.

• Police cited a woman, 19, on a charge of failing to maintain a safe distance in traffic after an accident at 9:42 a.m. Tuesday in the 5100 block of Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area. The woman was driving a 1989 Ford Taurus that reportedly struck a 1990 Ford truck, driven by a man, 52, in the rear.

Animal encounters:

• A bear and cubs were reported at 1:24 a.m. Tuesday in the yard of a home in the 4400 block of Julep Street in the Valley.
