Graham lifts Cards past O's

Angels capture senior baseball league with a win over the Mariners in final

Kyelisa Graham homered and scored the game-winning run in the fifth inning to lead the Cardinals past the Orioles, 14-13, in minor softball league action.

Jennifer Nelson tripled and scored twice and Cassidy Davenport went 3-for-3 with a triple and a double for the Cards. Alissa Hulbert had two runs scored in the win.

In the loss for the Orioles, Kalea Chapman cracked two home runs and Elsa Robinson added a hit in the tough defeat.

Cassie Anderson had two hits and two runs scored while Amanda Gile and Tessa Miller each scored two runs in the loss.


Orioles def. Padres

Marina McDowell had a hit as the Orioles upended the Padres.

Tayln Ramos and Breanne Chapman had base hits and pitcher Shayla Reeves had a strikeout in the win.

For the Padres, Kayla Balovich fanned four batters.

Reds 7, Cardinals 5

The Reds scored six runs in the first inning and never looked back as Taylor Larson scored twice.

Danielle Graham doubled and scored in the win.

Cardinals 12, Marlins 10

Alissa Hulbert pitched a complete game and won her first career start for the Cards.

Kelsey Riederer homered, Hulbert aided her own cause with a double, and Kaci Hansen singled twice in the win.

Sage Davenport and Alasa Stoinich each scored twice in the win.

For the Marlins, Tinaya Harris singled twice and scored two runs, Maya Rieselbach had two hits while Lizelle Uddipa, Elizabeth Hawkins and Kyra Uddipa all scored two runs each.

Mariners def. Marlins

Marissa White went 3-for-3 with a triple to lead the Mariners past the Marlins.

Megan Hart and Tianna Demmert each went 2-for-2 with a home run in the win.

Also for the Mariners, Miranda Vaughan, Alea Uddipa and Brittany McCusker all had singles.

Mariners def. Orioles

Marissa White struck out 12 batters to lead the Mariners past the Orioles.

Tianna Demmert and Miranda Vaughan each went 2-for-2 while Stephanie Logan and Megan Hart added base knocks in the win.

Orioles 11, Mariners 6

Kalea Chapman fired a three-hitter and hit a home run as the Orioles toppled the Mariners in the first round of post-season play.

Cassie Anderson and Elsa Robinson scored three runs each in the win.

Tessa Miller hit a pair of two-run singles in the win.

For the Mariners, Jazmine Cuanzon hit a bases-loaded double while pitcher Marissa White had seven strikeouts in the loss.


Ludeman goes deep

The Orioles' Collin Ludeman hit his first Little League home run in the season finale against the Dodgers.

Ludeman went 4-for-4 with two doubles for the O's.


Braves 1, Phillies 0

The Braves scored a first-inning run and held on to win a tough defensive struggle.


Athletics 7, Reds 5

Matthew Whistler went 3-for-3 with a double and three RBIs to lift the A's past the Reds.

James San Miguel went 2-for-3 with two RBIs and Edward Hurtte added two hits and drove in a run in the win.

Garret Cheeseman fanned 11 batters to pick up the win.

Ryan Baldwin pitched well in defeat for the Reds.


Angels 16, Twins 15

Jamie Daniels had two triples to lift the Angles past the Twins in eight innings.

Sev Kibby, Aaron Cohan and Victory Panov had two hits each in the win. Kibby scored five runs in the win.

For the Twins, Phillip Murray went 4-for-6 with two doubles and three RBIs.

Julian Love had three hits and two RBIs, Eric Verrelli added two hits and drove in a pair of runs for the Twins.

Twins 16, Diamondbacks 11

Vincent Isturis had two hits and four RBIs as the Twins toppled the Diamondbacks.

Andrew Gregovich popped three hits and drove in two runs while Sean Rich, Eric Verrelli and Julian Love had two hits each in the win.

Gregovich limited the D-Backs to just two hits in four innings.

For the Diamondbacks, Eric Sele tripled and doubled while Joel Easton added a double and single.

Twins 17, Giants 11

The Giants rallied for seven runs in the bottom of the seventh inning but the Twins withstood the onslaught to earn the win.

Keith Flint and Vincent Isturis had three hits each in the win. Isturis also drove in three runs.

Julian Love, Phillip Murray and Andrew Gregovich had two hits each in the win.

On the hill, Love allowed one run in five innings.

For the Giants, Billy Collier fired three scoreless innings.


Angels 14, Mariners 4

The Angels captured the senior baseball championship with a win over the Mariners.

Chris Hinkley and Sean Bavard pitched for the Angles while Zach Gray and Alex Robinson took the hill for the Mariners.

Angels 16, Mets 3

The Angels advanced to the senior league title game with a win over the Mets.
