Moira Smith and James "Jake" Metcalfe, both formerly of Juneau, were married on June 2, 2007, at Resolution Park in Anchorage. Family and friends are invited to a Juneau reception at 6 p.m. July 2 at Sandy Beach in Douglas.

The bride is the daughter of Phil and Deborah Smith, of Juneau. A graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School, she received her juris doctorate degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law (Boalt Hall) and will work as a law clerk for Justice Dana Fabe of the Alaska Supreme Court.
The groom is the son of the late Vernon and Patricia Metcalfe, of Juneau. Also a graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School, Jake received his law degree from Lewis and Clark's Northwestern School of Law and is general counsel for the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 1547.
Bridesmaids were Meilani Schijvens, Niki Whiting, Rebecca Bernstein, Rep. Mary Nelson and Patrice Parker, the groom's sister.
Groomsmen were Bien and Peter Metcalfe, sons of the groom; Ron Taug; Peter Metcalfe, the groom's brother; and Crispian Smith, the bride's brother.
