Fees reduced for college savings plan

ANCHORAGE - The University of Alaska College Savings Plan is reducing its fees to help Alaska families save for college.
KTUU-TV reports the program announced the reduction in fees Monday.
Starting July 1, the program fee will be cut by nearly one-third and the annual account fee will be reduced by $5. The fee is waived altogether for customers who regularly invest with payroll deductions or automatic monthly contributions.
