ANCHORAGE - A 40-year-old Guatemala man has been sentenced to two years in prison following his conviction on illegally re-entering the United States after his 2005 deportation.
Edgar Barrios-Arriaza of Anchorage will be deported after serving the prison term announced Monday.
Prosecutors say Barrios-Arriaza was found in an Anchorage home in March when officers arrested several others on drug charges.
According to prosecutors, Barrios-Arriaza was previously deported after his 2002 conviction in a state weapons misconduct case for shooting a firearm into a dwelling.
