Flags lowered for trooper

ANCHORAGE -- Flags will be lowered to half-staff and funeral services held Monday for Fish and Wildlife Protection Trooper James A. Moen of McGrath.

Moen, 49, died June 25 when his Piper Cub crashed during a fishery patrol, about 65 miles southwest of Lake Iliamna. He was a 17-year veteran of the Alaska State Troopers' Division of Fish and Wildlife Protection. Moen had served in Petersburg and Soldotna before transferring to McGrath.

Funeral services were planned for 10 a.m. Monday at Bryant Field Hangar Number One at Fort Richardson.
