Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Animal sightings:

• Bears were reported at 12:16 p.m. Sunday near Glacier Highway and Monday at 12:19 a.m. near Glacier Highway and 11:49 a.m. near Berners Avenue.

Vehicle accidents:

• A woman, 39, was cited for negligent driving and failure to carry proof of insurance at 2:44 p.m. Sunday near downtown Douglas after driving her car into another vehicle and leaving the scene.

• A girl, 17, was cited for unsafe backing at 7:14 p.m. Sunday after driving her 1994 Mercury Topaz into a 1998 Plymouth Voyager near Del Rae Road and Mendenhall Loop Road. The Voyager sustained $2,000 in damage.

• At 7:59 p.m. Monday, a man, 28, reported his 2001 Toyota Tacoma was struck in a hit-and-run accident Sunday night while parked near Delta Drive. A damage estimate was unavailable.

• At 11:23 a.m. Monday, a man, 38, reported a Jeep struck a Chevrolet pickup near Marine Way and left the scene.

Theft:

• Two 14-year-old boys were detained for shoplifting at 5:35 p.m. Sunday near South Franklin Street.

Vandalism:

• At 6:14 p.m. Sunday, a man, 65, reported a tire on his car was slashed about a week ago near Montgomery Street.
