Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:


• Police arrested a Sitka man, 24, on charges of assault and criminal mischief at 1:44 a.m. Wednesday near Glacier Highway. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


• A man reported at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday that a tire on his 1999 Chevrolet was stabbed near Glacier Highway.

• A power pedestal was reported damaged at 8:28 a.m. Wednesday near Stephen Richards Memorial Drive in the Valley, interrupting power to a residence. Damage was estimated at $1,200.

Hit and run:

• A city employee reported at 2:23 p.m. Tuesday that a vehicle went into a ditch, possibly on Thursday or Friday, and caused $5,000 damage to a fire hydrant at Glacier Highway and Shady Lane.

Underage drinking:

• Police cited three men, 18, 19 and 20, and two girls, 14 and 15, on charges of underage drinking at 10:31 p.m. Tuesday near Kanat'a Street. From the same incident, police cited a woman, 18, on the same charge and arrested her for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. They lodged her at the state prison.

Found property:

• An Olympus camera was turned over to police at 9:40 p.m. Tuesday after it was reportedly found Saturday near the cruise ship terminal downtown.

Animal encounters:

• A bear was reportedly struck by a vehicle at 6:46 p.m. Tuesday in the 12000 block of Mendenhall Loop Road in the Auke Bay area. The bear was dead when officers arrived at the scene.
