Former Juneau resident David Thomas Lisle, 50, died June 21, 2004, in Seattle.
He was born Oct. 20, 1953, in California. He lived in Juneau 14 years and was a 1st mate/captain on the Alaska Marine Highway for 27 years. According to family members, he loved to navigate the waters of Alaska and was happiest sharing stories with his family about his adventures at sea.
He was preceded in death by his mother, June Lisle, and baby sister Patricia.
He is survived by his wife, Elena Lisle of Washington; daughters, Monica Dyakanoff and Kimberly Lisle of California; sons, Justin Weisbarth, Nolan Lisle and Corey Lisle of California; and sisters, Margaret Lisle of California and Mary Reiten of Washington.
No services will be held as per his wishes. He will be cremated, and his ashes will be scattered at sea.
