Former Juneau resident Emma Mary Paron, 75, died June 17, 2004, in Chilliwack General Hospital in British Columbia.
A Juneau resident from the 1950s through the late 1980s, she enjoyed doing arts and crafts, gardening and traveling. She had lived in Chilliwack for the last 10 years and was a member of the Senior Centre Group of Chilliwack and St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Hilda Fairclough, and five brothers, Armando, Angelo, Ernest, Raymond and Bill.
She is survived by her sons, Dennis (Elaine) Paron of Seattle and Daniel (Kathy) Burkhart of Golden Grove, Calif.; grandchildren, Alex and Amy Paron, and Ashley Burkhart; sisters, Velma Ferguson of Edson, Alberta, Rina (Fred) Flemming of Champion, Alberta, and Ella Desrosiers, of Chilliwack; and brother, Pacific (Edith) Paron of Calgary, Alberta.
Prayer services were held on June 22 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, and a funeral Mass followed on June 23. Donations may be made in her memory to the Canadian Cancer Society.
