Humans triggering the next ice age?

Letter to the editor

On the topic of stopping global warming: Do you have any idea what happens once the climate warming trend stops? Any inkling? Ever heard of an Ice Age?

If humans could somehow curtail climate warming, something that started about 35,000 years ago, when the sea level was about 300 feet lower than it is now, then humans will have succeeded in triggering the next Ice Age.

I suppose it's time for a few souvenir items: a bumper sticker that reads "Go Ice" and a coffee mug that says "I triggered the next Ice Age."
