Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Domestic dispute:

• Police arrested a woman, 22, on a charge of domestic-violence assault at 8:51 a.m. Thursday in the Mendenhall Valley. They lodged her at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


• A compact disc player was reported stolen at 3:39 p.m. Wednesday in the 10000 block of Camden Drive.

• Cash totaling $20 was reported stolen from a purse at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday from a purse that was temporarily lost in the 8100 block of Glacier Highway.

• A D player was reported stolen from an unlocked 1987 Toyota at 6 p.m. Wednesday in the 1700 block of Second Street in the Douglas area.

• A personal digital music system was reported stolen from a locked vehicle in the 100 block of South Franklin Street downtown.

• A mountain bike was reported stolen at 9:32 p.m. Wednesday in the 3400 block of Tongass Boulevard in the Valley.

• About $5 in change was reported stolen from an unlocked 1966 Audi in the 8900 block of Trio Street in the Valley.

• A digital camera was reported stolen at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday from a Dodge truck in the 8600 block of Teal Street in the Valley

Vehicle accidents:

• Police cited a woman, 53, on a charge of carrying no insurance and issued her written warnings for alleged unsafe backing and driving with a canceled license after an accident at 10:45 a.m. Thursday in the 8600 block of Teal Street in the Valley. The woman reportedly was driving a 1990 Dodge that hit a 1990 Toyota while backing out of a parking space. Damage to the Toyota was estimated at $1,000.

• Police issued a written warning for alleged careless driving to a woman, 45, after an accident at 11:34 a.m. Thursday. The woman reportedly was driving a 2000 Honda that struck a fence on Birch Lane in the Valley. Damage was estimated at $600 to the fence and $4,000 to the Honda.

Hit and run:

• At 12:04 p.m. Wednesday, a 1995 Subaru was reported struck by an unknown vehicle in the 200 block of Marine Way downtown.

Found property:

• A hard-sided black briefcase with a combination lock was turned over to police at 8:38 a.m. Thursday after it was reportedly found on First Street and Glacier Avenue downtown.

Animal encounters:

• A bear was reported at 9:04 p.m. Wednesday in the 9000 block of Firndale Street in the Valley.
