Tax the real problem: alcohol

Letter to the editor

I think that no matter how much they raise the price of tobacco, people no matter what age will find a way to buy it anyway, whether they have to go without providing everything that is necessary for their families. Kids, which I hate to see smoking at such a young age, are no different than adults when it comes to addiction. Why don't they tax the heck out of alcohol? I see that as the main concern for people in Alaska. Kids as well as adults are dying all the time in car accidents. Why not make it harder to buy the real problem Alaska has been suffering from for so many many years.
