General information
The Juneau 4th of July parade is dedicated to past director, Beverly M. Dorsher (1932-2003), in recognition of her commitment to community services.
The theme for the 2004 Parade is: "We Salute Freedom's Combat Heroes".
PARKING
One-way streets from 2 to 5 p.m. (4th Street - South; 2nd Street - North) No Parking on 3rd Street and St. Ann's Avenue, from Gastineau School to Summers Street. Parking at the Douglas Boat Harbor's new large parking lot. No open containers or glass containers are allowed on Douglas Streets.

6:30 a.m.-9 a.m.: Assembly begins for Juneau parade
at 8th and Egan. Floats, 6:30. Vehicles, 8:00.
Marchers, 8:30. All others, 9:00.
11:00 a.m.: Juneau parade begins. Grand Marshalls:
Douglas T. Wahto, WWII Veteran & Jeremy E. Lemke,
Kosovo/Iraq Veteran.
1:30 p.m.: Douglas parade assembly time. Gastineau
school. No pre-registration or entry fee required.
2 p.m.: Douglas parade begins. Parade coordinators:
Molly McCormick and a representative of DVFD.
Children's parade prizes: All participants in the parade
will receive $1. Winners will receive $5.00.
11 a.m.: Registration begins for the annual
sandcastle challenge. Sandy Beach
3:30 p.m. (high tide permitting): Sandcastle awards.
