Juneau resident Robert J. Kohlhase, 70, died June 29, 2006, in Bristol Bay.

He was born May 1, 1936, in Juneau. He graduated from Douglas High School and attended the University of Alaska Fairbanks. For two years, he was stationed in the United States Army at Fort Lewis in Washington. A lifetime Juneau resident, he was a fisherman most of his life.
He is survived by his wife, Peggy Kohlhase; brother, Ernest Kohlhase and his wife, Sylvia; daughter, Robin Bell, of Seattle; nephews, Jason and Jonathan Kohlhase; step-children, Robbin Lockhardt and Marty and Todd Brown; and three grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. July 2 at the Alaskan Mortuary Chapel in Juneau. Burial will be at 11 a.m. July 3 at the Alaskan Memorial Park. Honorary pallbearers will be Ernest, Jason and Jonathan Kohlhase; Marty and Todd Brown; Mark Bell; and John Lockhardt.
