Judicial activists are now conservatives

Posted: Monday, July 02, 2007

I wonder whether the conservatives who have been railing for years against activist judges will voice the same refrain now that judicial activists are conservatives.

Sound off on the important issues at

The new conservative majority on the U.S. Supreme Court has clearly ignored and failed to even mention clear precedent when bending the First Amendment to suit its conservative goals in three 5-4 decisions rendered last week. If that isn't judicial activism, I don't know what the term means.

Maybe those judges need some bong hits over the head with basic legal texts.
