The periemeter of the Woodchopper Creek fire burns Thursday along the banks of the Yukon River, 45 miles southeast of Circle. According to the National Park Service, the fire started naturally on June 6, and has burned more than 15,000 acres in the Yukon-Charley Rivers National Preserve.
