Museum Explorers Program now accepting enrollment

JUNEAU - Juneau's youth is invited for a week of history, art, environment and culture.

From August 9-13 the City Museum and the Canvas Art Studio will offer enrolled youth ages 8-11 a chance to learn about the medicinal properties in local plants, to learn about the Treadwell mining area, to climb aboard a US Coast Guard patrol boat, to learn about Juneau's birds of prey and to go mining near the Last Chance Mining Museum.

Daily classes run from 12:30-4:30 p.m. daily. Cost for the entire experience is $162.50. However, daily pricing is also available. Fees include all materials, transportation and a light snack. Tax is not included.
