Chilkat Cruises & Tours. Operator: Klukwan Inc. Native corporation. Where: Haines, the bald eagle preserve and the village of Klukwan. Three-and-a-half hour land-based tours cost $50. Goldbelt Auk Nu Tours, 586-8686, and Auk Ta Shaa Discovery, 586-8687. Operator: Goldbelt. Where: Juneau and adjoining waters. The Tracy Arm tour is eight hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., including a light lunch, hot beverages on board and use of binoculars; $110.25. Auk Ta Shaa Discovery offers rafting and kayaking trips on the Mendenhall River and Mendenhall Lake. A six-hour kayak trip is $95, which includes a light lunch. A four-hour rafting trip is $89.
