Heather Lynne Fial and Jack Suson Schmidt will be married at 2 p.m. on July 6, 2002, at Saint Paul's Catholic Church in Juneau. A reception will follow at the Tlingit and Haida Community Center. Friends and family of the couple are invited to attend the wedding and reception.
The bride is the daughter of Edwin and Arlene Fial of Juneau. She is currently completing her bachelor of science degree in nursing at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
The groom is the son of Juliet Suson Schmidt and the late Charles Schmidt. He is currently an assistant district attorney with the state of Alaska Department of Law in Anchorage.
The maid of honor will be childhood friend Jennifer Kotyk. The bridesmaids will be the groom's aunt, Flora Daugherty, the bride's cousin Shan Pugh and close friends Thomas Keopple and Nicole Sirvent.
The best man will be Bryan Moskop. The groomsmen will be the groom's brother Jujarles Schmidt and close friends Liam Higgins, Caroline Hughes and Michael Pallamary IV.
The flower girls will be Daffodil Alinson, Clarissa Suson and Melinda Suson. Additional attendants will be Venise Algabre, Jawan Mays and Kevin Rasmussen. Ushers will be the bride's brother Patrick Fial and family friends Shawn Gouyton, Janette Y. Alinson and Mary Grace Villaverde.
The couple will honeymoon in Kauai, Hawaii, and will eventually make their home in Anchorage.
