Hospice/Home Care raises more than $60,000

The foundation for Hospice and Home Care of Juneau Major Gifts Campaign raised more than $60,000 for Hospice and Home Care services in the last two months.

Bill Corbus received special recognition from Sioux Plummer, president of the foundation, at the major gifts victory celebration. More than 150 businesses and individuals participated in the campaign.

Corbus chaired the campaign, and the wonderful cabinet included Rupe Andrews, Brian Andrews, Anne Bakker, M.D., Dan Bruce, Cynthia Callivroussi, Andrea Doll, Kim Dostal, Paul Douglas, Dennis Egan, Bruce Garrison, Linda Harris, Joe Heueisen, Bill Hopkins, Loren Jones, Peter Jurasz, Bill Legere, Jane MacKinnon, Mary McDowell, Sioux Plummer, Kim Poole, Reed Stoops, Joe Thomas, Peggie Ward, Sheldon Winters and Bob Urata, M.D. They made hundreds of contacts to friends of Hospice and Home Care.

The proceeds fund professional, experienced, caring service to Hospice and Home Care patients and their loved ones. Some of the services include nursing; occupational, physical and personal care therapy; volunteer support; bereavement support groups; grief counseling; hospice volunteer training; medical equipment loans; health aid attendants; and home health care for families.
