The Hank Harmon Rifle Range on Montana Creek Road will have limited closures over the next few weeks for grading and drainage maintenance. Work is expected to be under way today.
The long range will be closed for about a half-day to correct settlement and roadway softness at the access gate. A longer closure of the short range will occur to correct settlement, general surface drainage and grading.
While maintenance activity occurs on one range, the other range will be open to the public.
The Friends of NRA Alaska is paying for the work through a $10,000 grant to Hank Harmon Rifle Range Inc., the range's nonprofit operator.
