Sylvester to help with Girl Scout recruitment

Sound off on the important issues at

JUNEAU - The Tongass Alaska Girl Scout Council recently hired Linda Sylvester as its program/membership coordinator. Sylvester will assist the organization with troop leader recruitment and training, enrolling girls ages 5-17 in troops and coordinating community activities.

One of Sylvester's rapidly approaching projects is organizing the day and resident camps sponsored by the Tongass Girl Scouts. Juneau's day camp runs July 9-12 for girls in first- through sixth-grade. She will also help coordinate camps scheduled in other southeast Alaska communities, such as Ketchikan and Petersburg.
