JUNEAU - McMurren, 60, Thursday asked Juneau Superior Court Judge Patricia Collins for a continuance on a trial scheduled to begin Monday. He stands accused of molesting three children under the age of 8 over a period of years.
It was McMurren's first continuance request.
McMurren was arrested in April and has been held on $100,000 bail since.
Collins sought the victims' perspective of delaying a trial that will discuss the intimate details of allegations that McMurren molested the children in his home, one up to six times, from Assistant District Attorney Jack Schmidt. Collins pushed the trial two days to allow the DA's office to secure the answer.
Collins scheduled a hearing on the delay for Wednesday.
