FAIRBANKS - Two Fairbanks police officers who think they were demoted unfairly are suing the city of Fairbanks and the police chief.
Doug Whorton and Al Hutton allege said their loss of rank came in retaliation for complaining about the police department to the city mayor and for trying to have the deputy chief removed from the police officers' union.
The lawsuit was filed on Tuesday in Fairbanks Superior Court.
It accuses Deputy Chief Brad Johnson of bullying police department employees.
