ANCHORAGE - A 34-year-old Anchorage man convicted of distributing cocaine and possessing firearms in furtherance of drug trafficking has been sentenced to 15 years in prison.
Maurice Marquette Mackey was sentenced Thursday by U.S. District Court Judge Ralph Beistline.
Prosecutors say Mackey sold crack cocaine three times to confidential informants working for federal agencies. The total amount sold was 64.7 grams.
Mackey was taken into custody at his home and arresting officers found two rifles, scales used to weigh drugs, and about 87 grams of cocaine. Prosecutors say Mackey also had a video surveillance system in the home.
