Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

• Jessica Herman-Haywood, 18, was arrested at 1:02 a.m. Thursday near Shattuck Way for drunken driving and refusal to submit to a breath test. She was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

• Manuel Carillo, 54, was arrested at 1:53 a.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway and Radcliffe Road for drunken driving. He was lodged at the state prison.

• Geldon George Jones, 26, was arrested at 12:43 a.m. today near Industrial Boulevard and Bentwood Place for drunken driving and refusal to submit to a breath test. He was lodged at the state prison.


• Police arrested a woman, 20, for domestic violence assault at 1:59 p.m. Wednesday near Glacier Highway. She was lodged at the state prison.

• Police arrested a man, 49, for domestic violence assault at 8:53 p.m. Thursday in the Lemon Creek area. He was lodged at the state prison.


• At 7:41 a.m. Wednesday near Gee Street several items were reported stolen from a vehicle on Tuesday night. The stolen items include three black leather CD cases holding 50 CDs, a black Casio watch, a black leather bracelet with metal studs, and cash.

• At 2:25 p.m. Wednesday near Glacier Highway a 35-inch television and a stereo were reported stolen from a residence.

• At 10:30 a.m. Thursday near Ross Way a white 2001 Subaru Forester was reported stolen. The vehicle was taken between 7 p.m. Wednesday and 10:30 a.m. Thursday.

• At 2:07 p.m. Thursday near 10th Street about 40 CDs were reported stolen from a Ford Tempo, which appeared to have been broken into.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

• At 7:09 p.m. Wednesday from Glacier Avenue the tires on a Ford pickup truck were reported slashed.

Vehicle accidents:

• Police cited a man, 41, following a two-vehicle accident at 5:49 p.m. Thursday near First Street and D Street in Douglas. A 1993 Dodge, driven by the man, struck a 1993 Ford, driven by a man, 57. The Dodge sustained $500 in damage while the Ford had $750 in damage.

• Police cited a woman for negligent driving after she lost control of her vehicle while turning, causing it to roll, about 7:42 p.m. Thursday near Egan Drive and Whittier Street. No one was injured, but the vehicle sustained $5,000 in damage.

Hit-and-run incidents:

• At 2:42 p.m. Thursday near Whittier Street and Egan Drive a 1995 Suburban was reported damaged by an unknown vehicle on Wednesday night.

Animal encounters:

• Bears were reported at 2:41 p.m. Wednesday near Fourth Street and at 8:47 p.m. Thursday near Glacier Highway in Lemon Creek.


• Police arrested a 12-year-old runaway girl on an outstanding Alaska State Trooper warrant. The girl was lodged at the Johnson Youth Center.

Alcohol-related calls: 6.
