Post 25 Midnight Suns American Legion baseball -- The Midnight Suns play an alumni team at 6 p.m. at Adair-Kennedy Memorial Park.

Southeast Road Runners club -- Governor's Cup Race/Fun Run: Meet at 8:30 a.m. at the Dimond Court House at Fourth and Main for 9 a.m. race start. Course is five kilometers. Juneau Freewheelers Bicycle Club -- Nick Frangos Memorial Group Ride and Race: Meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Douglas Bridge "Y" for 10 a.m. race start. Course is 24 miles to North Douglas and back. Info: Dave Ringle, 790-7249.

Juneau Sailing Club -- Rum Cup Challenge, Legs 3-4: Captains' meeting at 8 a.m. at Aurora Harbormaster's Office, race starts at 10:30 a.m. near Mayflower Island by Douglas Harbor. Leg Three heads to Admiralty Cove for overnight, come back on Sunday for Leg Four. Open to all sailboats, including liveaboards. Info: John Barnett, 364-2514.

Southeast Road Runners club -- Mount Juneau Ridge Run (weather permitting): Meet at 7:30 a.m. at Perseverance Trailhead parking lot for 8 a.m. race start. Route and safety meeting is 7:45 a.m. This is an adventure run of about 15 miles up Perseverance Trail, up Mount Juneau to its peak (about 3,000 feet elevation gain), along the ridgeline and back down via Granite Creek and Perseverance Trail. Due to the race distance and trail hazards, participants must be adequately conditioned to participate and should be able to complete a half-marathon (13.1 miles) in under two hours. Southeast Road Runners club -- Windfall Lake Trail Challenge Run: Meet at 8:30 a.m. at start area TBA for a race start at 9 a.m. This is a challenging trail and gravel road run of about 14 miles that traverses all or part of Windfall Lake Trail between the end of the Montana Creek Road and the Herbert Glacier trailhead. Open Gyms/Scrimmages/Ongoing

Summer Youth Open Gym -- Meet from 8-11 p.m. at Dzantik'i Heeni Middle School gym on Fridays throughout the summer. Open gym is free for students in grades 5-12. Juneau Freewheelers Bicycle Club weekly women's rides -- Women's training rides are held at 6:30 p.m. every Wednesday through the summer. Meet at the Downtown location of the Juneau Racquet Club on the first and third Wednesdays of the month, and at the Valley location of the Juneau Racquet Club on the second and fourth Wednesdays. All women cyclists are welcome. Emphasis is on learning paceline riding technique, and rides last about 60-90 minutes. Helmets are required. Open roller hockey scrimmages -- Regular open roller hockey scrimmages for high-school age players and adults this summer are from 8-10 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday night at the Glacier Valley Elementary School's outdoor covered area.
