Moodys celebrate 50 years

Phil and Donna (Cash) Moody will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary at 1 p.m. Friday at the home of Pat and Stan Beadle, 4660 Glacier Highway. All friends, relatives and acquaintances are invited.

Donna is the daughter of Dewey and Lillian Cash, owners of Cash Sewing Center, once located on Franklin Street. She is a dressmaker and designer, and still enjoys sewing.

Phil was employed as a cook at Percy's Cafe. He is a retired restaurateur, as well as an accomplished carpenter.

The couple was married on July 11, 1957, at the Episcopal Church in Juneau. After living in Juneau and Sitka for 40 years, they moved to Roseburg, Wash., in 1992. The couple have three children and two grandchildren.

While visiting Juneau, the couple will be attending a variety of events that have been scheduled by the Juneau-Douglas High School class of 1957 for the 50th class reunion.
