Organization description: Big Brothers Big Sisters establishes professionally supported one-on-one relationships between Southeast youth and mature, caring volunteers, who serve as friends and mentors.

Volunteer positions available: BBBS is looking for volunteers to be Big Brothers or Big Sisters to kids from 6 to 18 years of age for as little as one hour a week. Volunteers are also needed to assist with special office projects and special events. Year-round and one-time volunteers are needed.
Requirements: Big Brothers Big Sisters provides training. Background check and references are required of all volunteer mentors.
In-kind donations needed: tickets to events, Alaska Airlines frequent flyer miles, Alaskan and Proud receipts, office supplies, microwave, data projector and a used vehicle.
