Police and Fire

Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while Intoxicated:

• Charlotte Rorem, 32, was arrested at 3 a.m. Saturday near Loop Road for drunken driving and two counts of reckless endangerment. She was lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.


• A woman reported at 10 a.m. Friday from Hospital Drive the theft of her black purse containing cash, earrings and miscellaneous cards.

• A woman reported at 11:30 a.m. Friday from Front Street the theft of her black Patagonia raincoat containing a wallet and ID.

• A man reported at 6:15 p.m. Friday from Willoughby Avenue the theft of an orange men's Huffy bike.

• A woman, 42, and a man, 53, were cited at 12:30 a.m. Saturday on Stephen Richards Drive for theft of services. They were released.

Animal encounters:

• A woman at 1:15 p.m. Friday from Distin Avenue reported a bear getting into a neighbor's garbage.


• A handheld VHF radio was turned in to the police at 4:30 p.m. Friday from South Franklin Street.

• A man, 60, was arrested at 7:10 p.m. Friday near Behrends Avenue on an outstanding Juneau troopers warrant for failure to appear in court. He was lodged at the state prison.
