Juneau Yacht Club Sailing Squadron - Rum Cup Challenge races, Round 2: Two-day event features a run from Mayflower Island (Douglas Harbor) to Point Hilda on Saturday and a run from Point Young to Sheep Creek on Sunday. There will be a beach bonfire Saturday night at the anchorage due west of Admiralty Cove in Young's Bay. Racing starts at 10 a.m. each day and is open to any single-hulled sailboat at least 21 feet long. A handicapping system is used so liveaboards can compete with racing sailboats. Sailboats must complete at least four of the eight legs of the series in order to be ranked in the final point standings. There is a mandatory pre-race captain's meeting at 8 a.m. at the Aurora Harbormaster's office. Juneau Youth Football League - The JYFL seeks someone to fill the vacant cheerleading chair on its board of directors. The chair oversees all cheerleading actvities in the JYFL prgram.
