ANCHORAGE - A 23-year-old man sought in the drive-by shooting of an Anchorage woman has turned himself in to police.

Lt. Dave Parker says Fabian Quepons surrendered at the Anchorage Police Department on Monday.

Police believe Quepons fired several bullets into a car driven by 22-year-old Jamie Watson late Sunday.

Parker says Watson had two passengers when someone in the vehicle thought they recognized the driver of a teal Cadillac Escalade. But when Watson approached, the Escalade driver pulled out a gun.

Watson was shot in the head, but is expected to survive. Her passengers escaped injury.

Quepons is scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon at Anchorage Jail Court.

Police are still looking for the Escalade.
