Last week was pretty quiet, and that was probably good as many players were still recovering from the Rainball tournament.
Men's C Division
The Timberwolf boyz ate up the Miners 7-4 last week in one of the few Men's C games played. Most of these division games were rained out and rescheduled.
Men's D Division
Kapplers didn't lose their harddrive in Rainball. They poured it on the Island Pub 24-5 and reconstructed Home Depot 20-17. The Rounders got some measure of revenge from Rainball as they redistributed K&L 8-7. They then rolled over Island Pub 16-4. K&L got back on track, though, with a 33-3 deconstruction of Home Depot. At the end of the week, Rounders, K&L Distributors and Kappler Computers were all within two games of each other heading into the final two weeks of the season.
Men's F Division
Lots of rain in this division as well, but when the rain let up, Northern Hot Spots had bronzed Double Ugly 17-14, and the Mudstingers kept up their Rainball Champion ways and containered Lynden 13-5.
Women's C Division
Pat's Douglas Inn retained their winning ways from Rainball with a 13-5 stoning of Sticks N Stones, and The Replacements kept up their relentless pursuit of first place with an 11-9 boxing of Lynden Transport and a 10-7 clean up on G.W. Teal. The Women Imperialistas stayed out front, though, as they shipped out Lynden Transport 24-3.
Women's D Division
Rain forced the rescheduling of many games this past week, but UAS Women were still able to increase their win streak to six with a 10-9 squeaker over the T&H Sandbar Lunachicks.
Coed D Division
Nizich Dental has given up the fewest runs of any team in the division with five games decided by a single run, yet the denticians are still two games back of Tastes Great, Less Filling (Team Miller Lite). Last week, the Taste Greaters put a bug in Kappler Computers 10-8, while the Wee Fishies Shoppe shark attacked Juneau Urgent & Family Care 15-11.
Coed E Division
Auke Bay Electric stayed wired at the top of the standings - one game ahead of the Hooliguns - but the young 'Guns kept close with an 11-10 sneaker over The Fam Dams.
Coed F North Division
The top three teams in the Coed F troop are really close, and this week made it even closer. Killer Bees, the division leaders, lost to Bad News Bears 14-7 while State Farm recycled Valley Liquor Crown Royals 15-7. In the only other action, the Party Fouls celebrated their return to action by fumigating Haz Gas 22-3.
Coed F South Division
Willis Hayward State Farm stayed undefeated and made it 11 in a row as they becalmed Seabreeze 18-6. Alaska Marine Trucking kept its three-game win streak intact and stayed on the heels of first place as they hooked up Alaska Towing 15-1. Reliable Oil coated the Pirates 14-5, and T&H Mad Batters got riled with Air Excursions 19-2.
Coed G Division
The rain did not diminish Summertime Fun as the ASEA Local 52 reps came back in the bottom of the last to discharge Batteries Not Included 15-14. Base Invaders sent Bartlett Bruisers to the ER 25-6, and Wells Fargo added to that pain as they also splinted Bartlett 19-4. The other Bartlett team, Too, kept pace for the division lead with a 13-12 nailbiter against Team Aware. Trusted Choice, one of five teams still able to win this division, skinned the Gastineau Growlers 10-2.
There are only two weeks left in the regular season, but watch for Coed Second Season starting on July 19th.
