I was perplexed by the July 4 column from Lew Williams, former publisher of the Ketchikan Daily News. Mr. Williams wrote that "some members of Congress ... imply our military is composed of sadistic torturers led by incompetent officers from their command-in-chief on down. They cite no legitimate facts, just broad-brush rhetoric." Yet Mr. Williams engages in the very behavior which he accuses some members of Congress. He "cite(s) no legitimate facts, just broad-brush rhetoric." Tsk, tsk, Mr. Williams. What color is the kettle of which you speak?
