Juneau police, fire officials, hospital officials and state troopers reported:

Thefts, lost/found items:

A man, 44, reported shortly before 9 a.m. Friday his Huffy mountain bike was taken from the Travelodge Hotel.

A California tourist, 66, reported shortly before 2 p.m. Friday that she lost her camera at Merchant's Wharf sometime during the Fourth of July parade.

Shortly after 4 p.m. Friday, a citizen (no age given) reported from West 19th Street that his blue/black Schwinn 26-inch, 15-speed, unisex mountain bike had been stolen.

About 4:45 p.m. Friday, a woman, 38, reported her Emmerson flute had been stolen during a party at her apartment complex on Glacier Highway. Alcohol was involved in the incident.

Shortly before 6 p.m. Friday, a Big Kmart employee reported a found camcorder in the store. Kmart will retain the property until the owner comes forward to identify and claim it.

A woman (no age given) reported about 9 p.m. Friday that she had misplaced her black Harley Davidson motorcycle helmet on Radcliffe Road.

Assault:

Shortly before 7 p.m. Friday, a woman, 25, was arrested at the Auke Recreational Area campground for domestic violence assault and resisting arrest. A man, 26, was arrested for interfering with her arrest. Both were transported to and lodged at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center. The man was released on $250 cash bond. The woman remained in custody Saturday.

Minutes before midnight Friday, a man, 21, was arrested for domestic violence assault in Douglas. He was additionally charged with reckless endangerment. A woman, 25, was arrested on an outstanding Juneau Police Department warrant for failure to comply with conditions of probation. Both were lodged at state prison. Alcohol was involved in the incident.

Animal encounters:

About 9 p.m. Friday, police received a report of a bear in the area of Gail Avenue.

Shortly after 10 p.m. Friday, police received a report of a bear in the area of Mendenhall Loop Road.

Shortly after 3 a.m. Saturday, police received a report of a young bear at a residence on Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area tearing into garbage that was not secured.

Other:

About 8:30 a.m. Friday, a man, 37, was cited and released on Egan Drive outbound for driving with a revoked license when the 1974 Dodge Dart he was driving was pulled over by police. The vehicle was impounded.

Posters went up around town this week for a missing girl. They list Helen Jolene Nelson, 13, as missing since June 25. Police said that the dark-haired Nelson has repeatedly run away from home, but was found on Friday evening.
