Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

Kevin Gilday, 22, was arrested for drunken driving, eluding officers and five counts of reckless endangerment at 12:45 a.m. Sunday in the Mendenhall Valley. He was taken to the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Police arrested Andrew Singh, 41, for drunken driving at 2:30 a.m. Sunday downtown. He also was charged with refusal to take a breath test and driving with an illegal license. He was taken to the state prison.

Assaults:

A woman, 38, was arrested for assault at 3 a.m. downtown and taken to the state prison.

Vandalism and criminal mischief:

A woman reported that a window was broken out of her gray Mazda at Harbor Way and a small amount of change was stolen at 11 a.m. Saturday. Police have no leads or suspects.

A woman, 32, reported at 4:23 p.m. on Sunday that a baby backpack valued at $250 was stolen from her vehicle somewhere in the Juneau area.

Underage drinking:

A man, 19, a man, 18, two 15-year-old boys and a 15-year-old girl were cited for underage drinking downtown at 2:45 a.m. Saturday and released.

A 20-year-old woman was cited for minor in possession of alcohol near North Douglas Highway at 1 a.m. Sunday. Police seized a 12-pack of beer.

Vehicle accidents:

A white 1992 International van driven by an 18-year-old man hit a bus stop on Marine Way at 3:50 p.m. Saturday, causing $1,000 of damage to the bus stop and between $5,000 and $6,000 of damage to the van. No one was hurt in the incident.

Animal encounters:

Police received a report of a bear getting into garbage in the Basin Road area at 1:15 p.m. on Sunday. Bear complaints also were reported Sunday at 6:30 p.m. on Mendenhall Loop Road, at 8:40 p.m. on Postal Way, at 10:25 p.m. on Mendenhall Loop Road and at 11:05 p.m. on Seventh Street. Police received a bear complaint at 3 a.m. today on Tongass Boulevard.

Other:

A man, 25, was cited for driving with an illegal license at 5 a.m. Saturday on Glacier Spur Road.

A woman, 22, was cited and released for driving with a suspended license downtown at 3 a.m. Sunday.

A man, 22, was cited and released for driving with a suspended license at 3 a.m. in the Mendenhall Valley.

Police found a men's style black mountain bike in the Mendenhall Valley at 7:30 a.m. Sunday. The bike was placed into safekeeping pending contact with its owner.

A man, 34, was arrested at Skater's Cabin at 1 a.m. today for making a false report and taken to the state prison.

Domestic violence calls: 1.

Alcohol-related calls: 6.
