The Coast Guard is allowing a cruise ship that became grounded in Glacier Bay National Park to return to a dock near Juneau.
The Coast Guard said the 207-foot Spirit of Glacier Bay will be escorted to Auke Bay.
The ship carrying 51 crew and passengers became grounded on Monday. A Coast Guard response boat managed to tow the ship on a rising tide, and all passengers were taken off the ship. There were no injuries.
The Coast Guard said an inspection reported no breach of the external hull. However, the ship does have structural damage that must be corrected before it can again carry passengers.
Officials said the cause of the grounding remains under investigation.
