Annual Windfall Lake Challenge to be held

JUNEAU - Back Saturday is the Windfall Lake Challenge, a 13-mile trail race hosted by the Southeast Road Runners.

This annual race begins at Skater's Cabin, located on Skater's Cabin Rd, then follows Montana Creek Rd. to the Montana Creek trailhead. From here it follows that trail, which turns into the Windfall Lake Trail, and ends at the Windfall Lake trailhead near the Herbert River Bridge.

Interested participants must be at least 16-years-old and understand certain portions of the race course will have no support. Advance registration is $5, $8 on race day. Registration forms can be picked up at Pavitt Health and Fitness, or either location of the JRC Alaska Club. Deadline for registration is today, by 5 p.m.
