Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Sound off on the important issues at

Drunken driving:

• Police arrested 48-year-old Christopher Louis Anderson on a charge of drunken driving at 5:09 p.m. Saturday near Fish Creek on Douglas Island. They lodged him at the Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Domestic violence:

• Police cited a 23-year-old man on a charge of domestic-violence assault at 2:49 a.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of Renninger Street in the Lemon Creek area. They lodged him at the state prison.


• Police arrested a 37-year-old woman on an assault charge at 5:21 p.m. Saturday in the 100 block of Gastineau Avenue downtown.


• Fan wires on a motorcycle were reported cut at 4:37 p.m. Saturday in the 8400 block of Valley Boulevard.

• At 6:05 p.m. Saturday, a 2000 Mercury was reported scratched and dented in the 3400 block of Foster Avenue in the Douglas area.


• A wallet was reported stolen at 4:30 p.m. Saturday from a purse in the 1000 block of Salmon Creek Lane.

Vehicle accidents:

• Police cited a 52-year-old man on a charge of failing to yield after an accident involving the 2002 Chevrolet he was driving and a 1997 Ford driven by a 75-year-old woman at 1:24 p.m. Saturday in the Auke Bay harbor parking lot. Damage was estimated at $1,500 to the Chevrolet and $4,000 to the Ford.

• Police cited a 27-year-old man on a charge of reckless driving after an accident at 10:32 p.m. Saturday in the 9900 block of Stephen Richards Memorial Drive in the Mendenhall Valley. He was driving a 1984 Toyota truck that reportedly hit an unoccupied 1992 Chevrolet truck. Both the driver and a passenger were treated for injuries.

Underage drinking:

• Police responding to a report of a fight cited a 16-year-old girl on a charge of underage drinking at 12:33 a.m. Sunday in the 2200 block of Trout Street near the airport.

• Police cited an 18-year-old man on a charge of possessing alcohol at 2:22 a.m. Sunday in the 1800 block of Northwood Drive in the Lemon Creek area.

Animal encounters:

• A bear was reported at 1:33 p.m. Saturday next to a staircase in a yard near Fifth Street downtown.

• A bear was reported at 12:16 a.m. Sunday wandering around the 6500 block of Glacier Highway in the Lemon Creek area.

• A bear was reported at 5:36 p.m. Saturday in the 300 block of Gastineau Avenue.
