Juneau resident Nicole Danielle Johnson died July 6, 2007, in Juneau. She was 16.

A member of the YaahkLaanas (Double-Fin Killer Whale) clan of the Raven moiety of the Haida Nation, she was born on Sept. 1, 1990, in Juneau. Her Haida name was Kuul Kiith Kaatt.

She was a member of the Alaska Native Sisterhood Camp 70, Xaadas Gitalang Dance Group, a senior member of All Nations' Children Dance Group, 12-Step Fellowship, Juneau Youth Services Yukon Wilderness Expedition Program and Base Program and the Good Enough Community. She participated with the Ravenstail Weavers Guild, teaching basic weaving techniques to other Native children.

Family members said she was a talented artist who enjoyed writing, drawing music, poetry and school.

She was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Vesta and Wallace Johnson; grandmother, Josephine Scott; father, Pedro Rado; and uncle, Arnold Barrans.

She is survived by her mother, Kathleen Rado; mother, Toni Weber; father, Larry Reiger; grandmother, Judy Worden; grandfather, Jack L. George; siblings, Nastasia and Samuel Johnson, Nakeisha, Nichelle, John IV, Nakaiya and Jarrell Williams, Kristine Reiger and Sunshine Collette; aunts, Charlene and Carrie Sykes, Vicki Soboleff, Nancy Scotchman, Jennifer Henderson and Rose Buchmeier; great uncle, Wilbert Scott; uncles, Tom, Jeff and Jack Jr. George, Macario and Fernando Rado, Dave Skrzynski and Ross Soboleff; and cousins, Wallace, Marvin and Louis Scott, Justin and Arnold Barrans, Sabrina Sykes, Kalanda Morrison, Jennifer George, Jacob, Nathan and Ruby Soboleff, Madeline Soboleff-Levy, Felicia and Desiree Scotchman, Joseph and Kathleen Buchmeier, Jacob, Justin and Jaxen Laurence, Jensen George, Tara Greenwood, and Elizabeth, Sit'kah and Ciara Rado.

Pallbearers will be Macario Rado, Elizabeth Rado, Sit'kah Rado, Jeffery George, Wallace Scott, Timothy Lindoff and Michael Corpuz.

A memorial service and viewing and dinner will be held at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the Tlingit and Haida Community Hall on Hospital Drive in Juneau.
