Two hunters found dead on Sustina River

ANCHORAGE - Two men who were hunting along the Susitna River in Southcentral Alaska drowned, Alaska State Troopers said.

Raymond Lyn Westbrook, 50, of Anchorage, and 42-year-old Scott Henman of Watertown, S.D., left for the bear hunting trip last Thursday and were scheduled to return Sunday evening.

They were reported overdue by Westbrook's girlfriend, and searchers found their bodies Tuesday.

Henman's body was found with the canoe near Point MacKenzie while Westbrook was located in the water near Fire Island.

Troopers said an investigation is ongoing.
