Yankee, Larson to marry July 28

Alison Elizabeth Yankee of Juneau and Blake Warren Larson of Soldotna will be married in a ceremony at 2 p.m. July 28 at St. John's Catholic Church in Homer. A reception will follow at 3 p.m. at the Bidarka Hotel in Homer.

Friends and relatives of the couple are invited to the wedding and reception.

The bride-elect is the daughter of Bill and Zeke Yankee. She is a graduate of the University of Alaska Fairbanks and is a high school teacher for the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District.

The groom-elect is the son of Gloria and Mike Sweeney and the late Warren E. Larson. He is a graduate of UAF and is a civil engineer for William J. Nelson and Associates.

The couple will make their home in Kenai.

Miller, Rountree married June 22

Sherry Miller of Reedsport, Ore., and Doug Rountree of Juneau were married in a ceremony at noon June 22 at Glacier Gardens.

The bride is the daughter of Alfred and Jeanelle Miller. She is a graduate of Reedsport High School and is an information systems specialist for the Juneau Public Library.

The groom is the son of Richard and Lucile Rountree. He is a graduate of Juneau-Douglas High School and is a systems operations manager for Aero Services Inc.

The couple honeymooned in Las Vegas and Seattle, and will make their home in Juneau.
