Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Driving while intoxicated:

• Jeremy Hughes, 27, was arrested on a charge of drunken driving at 2:18 a.m. Thursday near Egan Drive. He was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.

Animal sightings:

• Bears were reported Wednesday at 1:31 p.m. near Sesame Street, 2:07 p.m. near Haffner Court, 2:37 p.m. near Pinewood Drive, 4:43 p.m. near Glacier Highway, 10:36 p.m. near Stephen Richards Memorial Drive and at 1:54 a.m. Thursday near Portage Boulevard.

Vehicle accidents:

• At 3:52 a.m. Wednesday, a man, 19, reported an accident involving a white 1996 Jeep Cherokee and a red 1988 Toyota MR2 near Willoughby Avenue.

• At 5:13 p.m. Wednesday, a red Pontiac operated by a woman, 22, struck a gray Dodge operated by a woman, 45, near Mendenhall Loop Road.


• At 5:34 p.m. Wednesday near Airport Boulevard, a woman, 27, reported her Alpine CD player and amplifier stolen.

• At 9:09 a.m. Thursday near Emily Way, a man, 42, reported the theft of an American flag from in front of his residence.


• At 3:05 p.m. Wednesday, a man, 38, was arrested near Teal Street for failure to comply with sex offender registration.

• At 3:55 p.m. Wednesday, a male, 13, was cited for shoplifting near South Franklin Street.

• At 8:46 p.m. Wednesday, a man, 40, was arrested for domestic violence assault near Emily Way. He was lodged at Lemon Creek Correctional Center.
