Presenters in ceremonies welcoming a half-sized replica of the Vietnam War Memorial to the community Sunday, as reported in Monday's Empire, noted that two men from Juneau were killed in the war. They did not mention Douglas resident Norman Lewis Lingley, who also died while serving in Vietnam in 1966, before Douglas unified with the city of Juneau. American Legion Post Commander 25 Post Commander Jim Pisa said Lingley originally came from Craig and was drafted shortly after moving to Douglas.
