Juneau police, fire officials and state troopers reported:

Sound off on the important issues at

Disorderly conduct:

• Police arrested an 18-year-old man on a charge of disorderly conduct at 2:25 a.m. Monday near Glacier Highway and Lee Smith Drive near the airport.

Hit and run:

• A 2001 Volkswagen was reported struck by an unknown vehicle at 8:17 p.m. Sunday on South Franklin Street downtown.


• A 21-speed bicycle was reported stolen at 6:01 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Irwin Street downtown.

• A wallet holding more than $300 was reported stolen at 6:07 p.m. Sunday in the 1600 block of Glacier Avenue downtown.


• Vandalism was reported at 3:03 p.m. Sunday to a boat in Douglas Harbor.

• A Honda Civic was reported vandalized at 10:21 a.m. Monday in the 8400 block of Thunder Mountain Road in the Mendenhall Valley.

Animal encounters:

• A bear was reported at 2:29 p.m. Sunday in the 300 block of Irwin Street.

• A bear was reported at 2:57 p.m. Sunday in the 4600 block of Glacier Highway in the Twin Lakes area.

• A bear and two cubs were reportedly seen at 12:04 a.m. Monday near Gastineau Avenue and Rawn Way downtown.

• A bear was reported getting into trash at 12:10 a.m. Monday near Irwin and 12th streets.

• A bear was reported getting into trash at 1:04 a.m. Monday in the 8600 block of Dudley Street in the Mendenhall Valley.
