An eagle feasts on a halibut carcass at about 4:45 a.m. on Wednesday at a residence near the Mendenhall River. The remains of the halibut were wrapped around the eagle's talon and caught on the roofing of the house. Hanging over the edge of the roof is the halibut tail and some attached skin. The eagle eventually worked itself free and flew away with its bounty.
